This Means War

  1. "We simply don't have the luxury of playing nice with prayer."

I don't know if you've ever been in a prayer group and gone away with you tail between your legs because of how eloquent someone has prayed. I love that it's not about that.

"Praying with precision is key. When we pray about the places where we seriously suspect the enemy is at work- that's how we keep our prayers focused, not only on particular situations but on biblical truths that are consistent with maintaining victory in the midst of them."

Not a wish list but a battle plan.

"Prayer is the portal that brings the power of heaven down to earth. It is krypton to the enemy and to all his ploys against you."

We have the power in the name of Jesus. It is so powerful! Yet, we often under utilize it. What a waste. I want to use fully the power given.

"I can't just go barreling into the fight blindly. I can't just throw something up against the wall and hope it sticks. I need a plan. Just as you need a plan. A strategy for war."

What if we took to prayer planning like we did our training? I'm all about plans. Let's get our plan of action.

What a precious gift we have. The Lord has called us to battle for our families. We are to be in fervent prayer for our husbands, our marriage, and our kids. When things are tough, we prayer. When things are good, we pray. And through all things let's praise Him. The enemy would like nothing more than to render us joyless and ineffective for the kingdom. He'd like us to be so wrapped up in what isn't fair that we forget to look at what is true, noble, and praise worthy.

Create in us a clean heart oh God, and renew a right spirit within us. Help us Lord be mighty valiant prayer warriors for our families. Thank you that you have given us such an honor. Help us not focus on happiness but holiness. Help us hone in our battle plan. Equip us be women with strategic prayer that will break down walls in our relationships, that will stir hearts in our families, and that strong holds are broken. Thank you Lord for such an awesome opportunity and for equipping us for a time such as this. In your might Son's name, amen.
